Tale

Buried upside -down,
this is my beloved
barrenness holding
innumerable facades
in the tight fists of
grievous rifts within.

Flooding profoundly,
backwards heedless,
that’s a lonely ocean
without water and waves,
but plenty asphyxiating fish,
in glut of life’s effete.

Holding my breath until
I re-see into primal dark
not either image or voice
of early evening dreams
run into uninhabited nights.
Soul, love is an assault in disguise!
